Portuguese Island in southern Mozambique is a tiny, totally deserted island with magnificent expanses of beautiful white sandy beaches, and safe bays for swimming.

The protected reserve is home to countless birds and exotic marine life. Hidden lagoons and mangrove trees add to the magic of this beautiful place. The waters here and around nearby Inhaca Island are popular with divers.
